A lot of folks out there have been to Zoobic Safari already. It’s one of the most considered place for field trips or family adventures. My brother has been there once, during his elementary field trip. But me, it is actually my first time to get there.
We left a little late, which is one of our mistake. If only we went to Subic as early as 7 or 8am, we can go to many places. Luckily, we still have time to go to Tree Top Adventure, Outlet Malls and of course, Zoobic Safari.
We arrived to Subic at 12nn. We ate lunch at the Meat Plus Cafe then stopped by some outlet stores like Guess, Adidas, and Lacoste. At around 3pm, on our way to Zoobic Safari, we passed by Tree Top Adventure. Since we are already there, we decided to go inside and at least experience one of their activities. Me and my sister went for Silver Surfer. It was a 2 minutes activity wherein you and a fellow rider glide from one treetop to another, back and forth, while seeing the unmatched view of the forest wilderness. It was a fun and thrilling experience. We weren’t able to try the other activities because we need to get to Zoobic Safari. We arrived to Zoobic Safari at around 4pm, and luckily we were still able to make it! The sad part is, there is not much enough thrill for us to experience in the Tiger Safari Ride and Croco Loco because the Animals are already full and taking a rest. No more feedings too.
It is a 2 1/2 tour to visit all the 11 attractions. Upon entry, we first went to Serpentarium where we saw a lot of huge and really long snakes. It was cool and a little bit scary because it was my first time to see those kinds of snakes that are huge! as in huuuuge! My little daughter were scared and screams whenever we let her see the snakes closely from their aquariums.
After that, we took the Zoobic jeep ride and went to the Lion’s cage. It was a close encounter (2-3m away) with the lions.
Our favorite part was the Tiger Safari. It is where we get to see the tigers walking around the area. Sadly, they are all taking a rest and won’t come near the jeep. We weren’t able to experience the tigers jumping on top of our jeep and eats their food.
We were also surprised by the population of the crocodiles. They were too many, but all of them seems like sleeping and already taking a rest. No active crocs that’s supposed to make our walk more exciting.
Last part was in Aetas Village. They had a mini tribal show wherein they showed us their different kinds of dance. They are the first people to live in that area so it said that the land originally belongs to them.
It was a fun and exciting experience. I am also happy because I can see that the animals there are very healthy. It seems like they are really taking care of them and feeds them based on their needs. I am not really fond of animals being in the zoo because instead of living their life in the wild, they are locked up in a small cage. Some of the zoos I visited have animals that are very thin and looks weak. But here in Zoobic Safari, you can really see that the animals are well taken care of.
Lesson learned, better go to Zoobic Safari early. So that you can experience it with more excitement and thrill as the animals are hungry and more active at morning.
